Workshops and Trainings

EpiPath offers workshops, trainings and tabletop exercises on a variety of public health and epidemiological topics. All workshops and trainings are available remotely or in-person, dependent on location.

Tabletop Exercises

EpiPath tabletop exercises (TTX) are designed to evaluate your organization’s emergency plans and procedures. TTX are conducted with the key decision makers at your organization in order to assess how your organization will respond during hazard events.

Infectious Disease TTX

Designed to evaluate how your organization will respond to outbreaks of communicable disease in your clients and/or staff. Topics can include - Biological Terrorism (anthrax, smallpox, viral hemorrhagic fevers), Ebola, Hepatitis A, Measles, Novel Coronaviruses (SARS, MERS, SARS-CoV-2), Pandemic Flu and other emerging pathogens.

Specific Hazard TTX

Designed to evaluate how your organization will respond to weather events and natural disasters. Topics can include -hurricanes, blizzards, flooding, fire, etc.

Workshops

EpiPath workshops are full or half day interactive sessions tailored to meet the needs of your organization. Workshops provide teams an opportunity to think critically about multi-faceted issues and work through complex problems together.

COVID-19 Response Hot Wash

This workshop is meant to review your team’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing or otherwise.

Qualitative Data Collection & Analysis

A full-circle workshop designed to aid your organization in a qualitative data collection project. Develop methods for conducting in-person interviews and/or focus groups to most appropriately collect qualitative data for your organization. Learn how to analyze, visualize, and present your qualitative data.

Quantitative Data Collection & Analysis

A full-circle workshop designed to aid your organization in a quantitative data collection project. Develop methods for developing and disseminating surveys to most appropriately collect quantitative data for your organization. Learn how to analyze, visualize, and present your quantitative data.

Data Informed Decision Making

Is your organization grappling with a complex issue that requires data informed decision making? This workshops is built around your organization’s specific topic and will help breakdown your issue and address it statistically. This workshop utilizes the Plan, Do, Study, Act cycle to manage complex problems.

Data Analysis with EpiInfo

Learn how to analyze your data with the CDC's EpiInfo Statistical Software tool. Meant for data analysts who are managing and reporting out on small to mid-sized datasets.

Data Collection for Community Health Assessments

Are you a Public Health Department currently working towards PHAB Accreditation and/or developing your Community Health Assessment? This training will guide your data collection and analysis methods during community health assessments.

Statistics for Public Health Professionals

Review commonly seen statistical misnomers in public health and develop skills on communicating statistics to the public. Learn how to answer the difficult questions regarding your data and data collection methods.
